Dulcimers at the Pease Collection of Historical Instruments - April 2004
I had possession of my Great-great-grandfather's 1886 Mason and Hamlin reed organ, which despite being complete and never neglected had failed after a restoration about 8 years ago. I found that Nelson and Beverley Pease of Palmer MA would be glad to take it into thier collection. The Peases have on display several dozen reed organs. I was sorely tempted to buy the little Carpenter they had there. But I also noted to my delight several dulcimers. The Stonitsch body I almost bought, and in fact am still considering.
